香港當代藝術展暨香港癌症基金會慈善拍賣

        香港癌症基金會深信，藝術具有廣泛及持久的療癒能力。期間，患者可以學習欣賞一事一物，並享受整個創作過程。為此，我們開展一系列藝術治療計劃，專業心理治療師透過創作協助癌症患者抒發內心不安的情緒，令他們可以在一個安全及沒有約束環境下釋放緊張和憂慮，並表達自己的感受。

       能成為「啟」當代藝術展覽及慈善拍賣的受惠機構，香港癌症基金會深感榮幸。「啟」作為典亞藝博2013活動之一，展出20位本地傑出當代藝術家的作品。參與的藝術家明白藝術有助身心康復，願意獻出他們的作品以供拍賣，收益撥作支持免費癌症服務。

「啟」將於本年10月3日至7日在香港會議及展覽中心展出。

Hong Kong Contemporary Art Exhibition and Hong Kong Cancer Fund Charity Auction

We are firm believers in the therapeutic healing powers of art, both the enjoyment and appreciation of the form, and the creative process itself. Cancer Fund has developed a range of art therapy programmes for our members, led by our team of professionally-trained psychotherapists, to help channel anxieties, alleviate stress and encourage self-expression.

This October, Cancer Fund is honoured to be beneficiary of charity art exhibition and auction INSPIRE, which is showcasing the work of 20 prominent contemporary artists, organised as part of Fine Art Asia 2013. In recognition of this unique relationship between Art and healing, the participating artists have agreed to donate their work to our charity auction, with the proceeds going to support our free cancer care services.

INSPIRE will take from 3 - 7 October 2013 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

  Exhibition catalogue for the solo exhibition of Sim Chan – Viewfinder. The exhibition showcased paintings and mixed media works, which address the artist's differing points of view towards the sky and the cityscape. As the work/canvas is always Chan's window to the outside world, a simple frame lockup is created to symbolize "Viewfinder". Sim Chan is an emerging artist in Hong Kong with strong sensitivity of the urban sky. Depicting the geometric form of sky on canvases mounted on irregular self-made wooden frames has become his signature. Muuute was commissioned to develop a logo for the artist, with his initial "S" and "C". The letter "S" was built by adopting the irregular form of his signature pieces, while his initial "C" was slightly reflected in the "S". - See more at: http://www.muuute.com/projects/sim-chan/#sthash.TgEf7Vu7.dpuf

“Rising Moon (悅滿中秋)” was designed by a team of young architect and architectural designers, Mr. Siu Kwok Kin Stanley, Mr. Chan Pui Hong Aden, Mr. Hui Chun Hoi Eddie and Mr. He Yiteng. The design received the Gold Award at the Lantern Wonderland Design Competition organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and co-organized by Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design, Hong Kong Designers Association and Hong Kong Institute of Architects. The team of young architect and architectural designers are currently working at Gravity Partnership.
