SkyKite

Through the different parts of the sky (Hong Kong 18 districts) as a kite shape, showing dense urban state, it also reveals the contradictions between nature and urban development. Kite flying through the installation works to express what my thoughts and hope in the future development of Hong Kong city.

"Sky City" means the sky through slits from the city skyscrapers in the global development of urbanization, under these circumstances these phenomena do not feel strange anymore and rapidly spreading like a virus-like. "Sky City" is everywhere in Hong Kong, a place with high-rise buildings, a place with high building density urban environment, it reveals the limitation towards community space and lifestyle of the people, also expressing a frustration, limitations, barriers and obliterated thoughts. This questioned, whether the construction of urban development for mankind is actually providing a better life? Or is it hindering the development of human nature?

Kite in the military are used for reconnaissance, communications and liaison, message for help, through time it gradually transformed into a form of entertainment, fun tool. However, flying a kite in crowded cities, whether in mind or on the environment seems unreasonable, the city regulations prohibit flying a kite like the limitations of city life, this contradiction reflects the conflict between urban construction and people's lives. We are facing not just problems of living space, but also facing the problem of surviving space, under an inverted community development system, a simplification development, the natural development of civil society will not be only hindered, but a lot of unique cultural assets will be eliminate as well.

Strategy No.36: If All Else Fails Retreat 走為上

Hong Kong is in a ultra-high density urban development environment , departing more and more life and natural environment, whereas limitations come alongside affecting people's in such environmental causes, whether from private space to public space, not even able to be mention as a livability living space. Under the premise of sustainable development in the city's dense, how possible is to improve the suitablilty of living environment under these skyscrapping architech? In the continuous development of construction projects, how concetrated will it be for the environment in future?

Capturing differect places in Hong Kong to shape the kite, "City sky”. The contradiction between the city and the kite will pull together, this is precisely show the state of coexistence of civilization and nature are standing off oppositely. These kites are loaded with problems we are facing in our lives , demands, hope and dreams , through " kite flying " in the form of flying in the air, like a detached, a kind of liberation , a conception of returning to nature. Through this work, it is presenting the existing social carcass and hoping to be looking more in line for people-oriented rather than economic efficiency -oriented urban development.

天箏

透過香港不同地區（18區）的天空作為風箏的形狀，表現出城市密集的狀態的同時，亦揭示了自然與城市發展之間的矛盾。透過放風箏的裝置作品表達出我對香港城市發展的想法和寄望。

「城市天空」意指從城市中的摩天大樓的狹縫中所看到的天空境象，在全球城市化的發展下，這些現象已經不感陌生，而且象病毒般急速地擴散著。香港這個高樓林立，建築密度極高的城市環境，「城市天空」故是隨處可見，這揭示了有限的社區空間與人民的生活模式，同時亦感受到種種困境、局限和被磨滅的思緒。城市發展是否為人類建設了美好的生活？還是阻礙了人類的自然發展？

風箏在軍事上用於偵察、通信聯絡、救生、求援，隨著時間慢慢轉變成為一種娛樂的工具。可是，在擁擠的城市裡放風箏，無論在環境上或是心境上，似乎都是不合理的，城中禁止放風箏的條例就如同城市生活的種種限制，這種矛盾表現了城市建設與人類生活的不配合。我們不單單只是面對生活空間的問題，而是面對著生存空間的問題，在倒模式的社區發展模式，單一化的發展方向下，不但阻礙了民間的自然發展，同時消滅了很多獨有的文化資產。

Strategy No.36: If All Else Fails Retreat

香港處於超高密度的城市發展環境下，生活與自然環境越來越脫離，人民的生活模式亦隨著環境空間而變得更多限制，無論從私人空間到公共空間，也談不上是甚麼宜居性的生活空間，在這個密集城市的可持續發展的前題下，建築可以怎樣改善更合適的生活環境？更配合自然環境的發展？在建築項目不斷發展下，未來的香港，環境還會有多密集？

從香港不同的地方捕捉的「城市天空」作為了風箏的形狀。把城市與風箏矛盾地拉在一起，這共存的狀態正正是文明與自然的對立。風箏盛載著我們生活的一些問題，一些訴求，一些希望，一些夢想, 透過「放風箏」的形式，飛行於半空，像是一種抽離、一種解放，回歸自然的意境。希望作品透過脫離現有的社會框架，尋找更能配合以人為本而非以經濟效益為本的城市發展。

But also a metaphor for the kite on military reconnaissance, communications and liaison , rescue , help use. It also reflects on urban development, communication and longing for nature and international .Through this work, it is presenting the existing social carcass and hoping to be looking more in line for people-oriented rather than economic efficiency -oriented urban development.

作品透過從香港各區捕捉的「城市天空」作為風箏的形狀。把城市與風箏矛盾地拉在一起，這共存的狀態正正是文明與自然的對立。風箏盛載著我們生活的一些問題、訴求、希望或夢想，透過「放風箏」的形式，表現出抽離、解放、回歸自然的意境，同時亦借喻風箏在軍事上用於偵察、通信聯絡、救生、求援的用途，以反思城市發展、與國際間的溝通及對大自然的嚮往。藉著作品透過脫離現有的社會框架，尋找更能配合以人為本而非以經濟效益為本的單一化城市發展。
